After a long wait, the Telugu-language mythological action-drama ‘Kannappa’ is finally coming to the big screen. The film stars Vishnu Manchu in the lead role, along with Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, South Indian actor Prabhas, and many other popular stars.
Story Summary:
Thinnadu is a brave and skilled tribal hunter who only believes in what he can see and touch. He does not believe in any god. But one day, deep in the forest, he experiences a supernatural event that changes his life completely—he becomes a devoted follower of Lord Shiva.
He is unfamiliar with religious customs, so he worships Shiva in his own way—bringing water in his mouth, offering raw meat, and expressing love in his unique style. Over time, his devotion becomes so intense that it surpasses even that of learned priests.
One day, Lord Shiva decides to test his devotion. Blood starts to flow from the Shiva lingam he worships. In an attempt to heal Shiva, Thinnadu sacrifices one of his own eyes.
